measure true physical intensity.

Measuring the rate of your heart and/or power during exercise can help you determine when you're pushing your body too hard, or need to push it harder to achieve the level of fitness you are seeking. The beauty of it is that anyone can do it – regardless of experience or fitness level. Heart rate training is a method that adapts to you, not the other way around. BE YOUR PERSONAL BEST.

Understand your physical
intensity

Our Intensity Meter is easy to understand. Developed in collaboration with Karolinska Institute, the “analogue” meter is easier for the user to understand compared to the “digital gauge” If you move faster the meter will move up, if you slow down, it will move in the opposite direction. Easy! Using colours to describe the intensity zones makes it even more simple and fun. It’s the perfect tool to get everybody moving!

Activio power
solution

With the Activio branded Smart Belt sensors and our one-of-a-kind noninterference radio technology, Activio now offers much more! On top of the heart rate measurements that are transmitted, the Activio Power Solution can work with two different transmission technologies to transfer the power (watt) and cadence (RPM). Thanks to this, Activio Power Solution users can also track the power data, from indoor bikes.

The intensity zones

ZONE 1 LIGHT <60%

ZONE 1 HELPS IN IMPROVING OVERALL HEALTH

Like a brisk walk, your breathing is under control and your muscles do not feel under strain. This zone requires virtually no focus. Your mind will wander.

ZONE 2 WARMING UP / MODERATE 60-70%

ZONE 2 IS GOOD FOR LIGHT ENDURANCE IMPROVEMENT
Like a light jog or fast walk, your breathing is slightly accelerated and you notice your muscles are working but you don’t feel the urge to stop. This zone requires minimal focus. You will go long stretches without thinking about the exercise itself. Not much recovery needed

ZONE 3 HARD 70-80%

ZONE 3 IMPROVES CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH AND ENDURANCE

Like a run, your breathing is more active and your muscles are working_ You feel a slight urge to back off or stop, but the workout still feels manageable. This zone requires focus, but your mind may still wander slightly. Training requires recovery but a user can work.

ZONE 4 VERY HARD 80-90%

ZONE 4 HANDLES THE DEMANDS OF CONTINUOUSLY INTENSE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Like a fast run (not a sprint), your breathing is accelerated and your muscles are working very hard. This is where you start to “feel the burn.’ You have the urge to back off or stop, but you are still able to push through. In this zone, you will be focusing on your workout the entire time. Training for a long time in this zone requires long recovery.

ZONE 5 MAXIMUM 90-100%

ZONE 5 MAKES YOU FASTER AND MORE POWERFUL BY IMPROVING THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN YOUR BRAIN AND YOUR MUSCLES

Like a sprint, your breathing is very rapid and your muscles are very strained. You have a strong desire to back off or stop. You cannot speak at all. This zone is mentally demanding and will require intense focus. Training in this zone requires a longer recovery.
